Our story
Hi, I’m Michelle and I have a 3 year old Border Collie named Bear. He is an adventurous, curious goofball that developed over-reactivity to touch after experiencing multiple health challenges and missed early signals—an experience that opened my eyes to how easily our dogs’ needs can go unnoticed. I have been working with Honest Hounds for over a year now to better my understanding of Bear’s over-reactivity and learn how to build a true partnership with him.
Even though we were improving, working on the challenges was putting a strain on our partnership, so we began participating in dog sports. This provided us with something to look forward to and a way to reconnect, have fun and support each other, especially after challenging days.
Our mission
I began a mentorship with Honest Hounds to deepen my understanding of a holistic approach to dog training. Through this program, I am expanding my knowledge of behaviour, wellbeing and ethical training practices, while also learning how to embrace the supportive community they’ve created—something I’m passionate about sharing with my own clients.
I’m also passionate about helping people truly understand their dogs. My journey with Bear has fuelled my mission to teach dog owners how to read canine communication, respond with empathy and build stronger, more trusting relationships with their furry companions.
I am also very excited about offering dog sports — giving people and their dogs the opportunity to strengthen their connection, build confidence together and most importantly, learn to enjoy training and have fun as a team.
